Change log
Every database migration applied to CharityFile, and changes to the fees, deadlines, exemptions, penalties and other state facts in our database, with the date of each. The database writes each fact entry itself and refuses a change that does not name who made it. It also refuses to edit or delete an entry, so a correction always appears as a new entry.
See /coverage for the share of rows whose quote we found in its source and the oldest review per jurisdiction, /api/quality for the machine-readable JSON snapshot, the RSS feed of the newest 200 entries, or the CSV export of every entry.
244 database migrations since Apr 24, 2026, and 1115 fact changes since Sep 9, 2026.

Quote not recorded in this entry.Made by: not recorded - Sep 14, 2026AL deadline rule: extension available 0 → 1; extension days none → 180; extension notes No statutory extension mechanism in Ala. Code §13A-9-71. AL does NOT explicitly auto-honor IRS Form 8868. Organizations needing more time should contact AG before deadline. → Ala. Code § 13A-9-71(g)(1): "The Attorney General may extend the time for filing the reports for a period not to exceed 180 days." The request is made through the organization's registration profile on the Attorney General's site; the Attorney General publishes the extended dates (a 30 June fiscal year end: 27 March).; calculation notes Annual report due within 90 days of fiscal year close (FYE+90d) per Ala. AG guidance. Note: charitable organization registration remains in effect unless cancelled or withdrawn — only PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISERS / commercial coventurers have annual September 30 expiration. The "all registrations expire Sep 30" note in our prior data was misapplied to charities; correct interpretation per AG website: charities file annually within 90 days of FYE. → Ala. Code § 13A-9-71(g): the annual report is due within 90 days of the close of the fiscal year (a 30 June fiscal year end: 28 September), with a $25 fee. The Attorney General's published deadline table lists 29 September for a 30 June fiscal year end, one day after the statutory count; the statutory date is shown. The charitable organization registration stays in effect unless cancelled or withdrawn; only professional fund raisers and commercial co-venturers renew each 30 September.; source url https://law.justia.com/codes/alabama/title-13a/chapter-9/article-3/section-13a-9-71/ → https://www.alabamaag.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/File-Consumer-Alabama-Charitable-Code.pdf

Fact entries record changes to fees, deadlines, exemptions, penalties, required attachments, agencies, audit thresholds, deadline extensions and conditional duties, including changes made directly in the database. A fee, deadline, exemption or deadline extension entry shows the source quote and link of its row, or says what the entry did not record. Migration entries record every migration applied to the production database. This page shows every entry. The database refuses to edit or delete an entry of either kind. “Made by: not recorded” marks an entry from before we recorded who made each change.
